With our Market and Trend Research, current trends and developments of the MICE market in our city are observed and analysed. The "TagungsBarometer Dresden" gives us information about the current data for Dresden. The representative study has continuously measured the development of event and participant numbers since 2012. For the first time, we have an informative half-year evaluation.
Here are the most important facts at a glance:
The trend in the events market is pointing upwards again - around 4,900 events with a total of around 340,000 participants took place in Dresden in the first half of the year.
In terms of events, there were already more face-to-face events in the first six months than in the whole of 2021.Overall, thefirst half of 2022 is still about 40% below the comparable period of 2019, but was able to reduce the difference to only 23% by June 2022 (for comparison: in January, the difference was still 70%).
The main event occasion was seminars and training, which accounted for 82% of all formats. They were followed by congresses with 16% of all event types.
30% of all events generated overnight stays on the Dresden accommodation market, which follows the trend of previous years.
