Christmas highlights at Dresden Airport
- MICE news
Highlights:
Lighting model & explanation of the lighting on the apron
Apron tour and visit to the airport fire brigade
Christmas surprise gift
When the days get shorter, lighting takes on a special meaning. This also applies to airports and that's why light tours for a maximum of thirty people take place at Dresden Airport every Friday and Sunday in December. They start at 4 p.m. with a tour of a lighting model and the subsequent security check, after which the airport is explored by bus. During the tour of the apron, you will learn interesting facts about the history and future of the airport. You will also have the opportunity to photograph the handling of the aircraft. A special focus is the explanation of the lighting on the apron and a visit to the airport fire brigade round off the tour programme, which lasts about 90 minutes. As a crowning finale to the tour, there is a Christmas surprise gift for each participant. We recommend that children aged 6 and over take part.
Airport Advent at Dresden Airport
Highlights:
Exciting discovery tour with a ride on the apron and a visit to the airport fire brigade
Christmas baking with aeroplane gingerbread
The Advent season holds its own magic: children in particular become more excited as the festive season draws closer. Which wish will come true when the presents are handed out? At the airport, too, the Christmas anticipation of all guests, big and small, is used for special tours. On three Sundays in Advent, a maximum of thirty people each can experience the airport in the run-up to Christmas during a 90-minute tour. After a security check, the tour starts with a tour of the airport by bus. During a ride across the apron, airport enthusiasts of all ages will learn interesting facts about the history and future of the airport. In the meantime, it is also possible to take photos of the aircraft being handled. A visit to the airport fire brigade and a tour of the terminal offer further impressions, such as the impressive fire engines.
From around 3 p.m., all young and old with a sweet tooth can decorate Christmas aircraft gingerbread blanks with sweet decorating materials such as sprinkles, paint and jelly bears in the Aero Lounge Christmas bakery for about an hour. The blanks for this will be delivered fresh from a bakery near the airport. Hot and cold drinks, but also baked goods and tour programme are included in the price. In total, you need to plan for about 2 ½ hours.
We recommend participation with children from 5 years of age.
