Looking ahead, not only naming challenges, but actively seeking solutions: How can events also take place under corona conditions? And how would new and established events be possible in the current situation?
Competition for the Saxon event industry from 23 July to 21 August 2020
Saxony has launched the competition "Denkzeit Event" to support innovative projects or concepts for event formats under corona conditions. The Free State is providing about 1.5 million euros for this purpose. The best ideas, born out of the crisis, will receive prize money of between 1,000 and 50,000 euros for the implementation of the projects. The competition is organised by the Saxony Tourism Association in cooperation with the Creative Saxony project. With the newly developed ideas, it also makes a contribution to the future viability and resilience of the event industry, even in times of crisis.
The competition is aimed specifically at the event industry in the Free State of Saxony in all its diversity, including event and communication agencies, trade fair and congress organisers or operators of event venues. Eligible to participate are self-employed persons, companies, associations as well as municipalities and municipal enterprises that implement events or are responsible for events.
